the spring

Spring-time is here!
Winter is over at last!
The air feels softer,the sun warms our faces....
Everywhere looks so different,with the land changing its white blanket for a new,colorful cloak,dazzling with new life.
The birds end the long silence,singing their songs to welcome the spring.
There is plenty of food to feed their growing families,now!Flowers appear in the twinkling of an eye.
buds open out on the trees,which spread out their new branches.

bella goes to rome

"All roads lead to Rome...."-so the saying goes.But for Bella,the little bell,things were not quite so simple.....
she had left her village the evening before,and now,she was well on her way.
"Excuse me,Swallow,"she said,"but can you tell me how to get to Rome?"
"Thank you !"cried Bella.And on she flew,going exactly the way the swallow had told her.
"There's a mountain ahead,"Bella thought."My goodness,it's high!Good thing I'm not afraid of heights.But it gets colder,The higher I go,and There's still some snow here..."
It took some time for Bella to fly over the snow-covered peaks.
"Atishoo!"she sneezed.
"oh,dear!I've caught a cold!"
And passing through a valley,Bella grabbed on a hedge.she did not want to have a bad chest!
At last,the little bell came to Rome,ready to get her store of chocolate eggs for Easter.
"you are the last customer!"the shopkeeper told her."take these back with you and hurry along!do not get lost on the way!" 

the honey-bee and the daisy

bumble,the honey-bee,loved all the flowers in the garden,but the daisy was his favorite."what's the news today?"he said.
"have you got any nice nectar for me?"
"just as long as you do not tickle me too much!"smiled daisy.
"Mmmm..."said bumble,"do you know,your nectar is the best for miles around?It's all thanks to you that we make such good honey!would you like to know how made it?"
"well,"Bumble went on,"after I've been here,I go back to the hive!"
"And is it true that you dance?"daisy interrupted.
"well,"said bumble again,"I fly in circles and I hum,to show other bees where the nicest flowers are.Then i put my nectar in the honeycomb of the queen bee,so that she can make honey."
"would you let me taste the honey?"Daisy asked her friend.
"of course,"buzzed bumble,"but the honey is not meant for us! It's to give to children and grown-ups for them to enjoy!"

April fool!

the first day of April is the day when we play jokes on people.Paul always looks forward to it.The trouble is,he can never think of anything very funny to do.
Last year,for instance,he tried painting goldfish blue-until his dad came in and stopped him .Julie and Mandy,his sisters,remember only too well some of the cruel tricks he has played on them in the past! so,today,they have decided to play a trick on Paul and get their own back!
Now,everyone knows that Paul can be very greedy-he likes eating cakes best of all.
Little does he know that he is in for quite a surprise.......

For more than an hour,Julie and Mandy have been in the kitchen,putting the finishing touches to their surprise cake.Paul is getting very impatient.
"Haven't you finished , yet?"he keeps asking.
"hear it is!"They call out at last.And they put a huge cake down on the table in front of him.It looks so delicious that Paul cannot wait to taste it!He grabs a knife,ready to cut himself a big slice-
only to find that the blade does not even make a mark.Julie and Mandy have made the cake with modelling day!
